Please refer to Remote Learning Packet (RLP); Week of March 30 - April 3, for All Assignments and Materials this week; The Cover Sheet of the RLP will give daily instructions, though I have also placed same assignments in this weekly Blog. Also Note Tutoring sessions will be held via Zoom, every Tuesday - Friday, from 9:00 am to 9:30 am. The Invitation URL, which is also listed on Cover Sheet is: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/3179361363. Tutoring sessions are optional, but if students attend, they are required to be in approved school attire during sessions.

Wed, 4-1 Assignment: Complete Section 2 Review, questions 1-5, pg. 10 Thu, 4-2 Assignment: Start Directed Reading A, Telescopes, pp. 5-6, Questions 1-17. Fri, 4-3 Assignment: Complete Directed Reading A, Telescopes, pp. 7-8; Questions 18-34. Save all your completed assignments! You will be turning these in for credit. Going Forward, All assignments will be given (and submitted) through Google Classroom as specified in updates from Great Hearts/Scottsdale Prep.

I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break and are doing well, and continue to do so as we begin a new journey working remotely. I will be communicating as usual through this Blog, but will also connect through emails when needed, and other venues that may be implemented. Stay tuned to any instructional emails sent from Scottsdale Prep. Mon, 3-16-20 (The activities listed below for this week are not required, but are recommended for fun enrichment exercises, so have fun with them!) Activity: Access and read the Griffith Observatory Sky Report (click on this link), and try to locate the following objects in night sky with a parent: Venus and the Pleiades just after sunset, and if you happen to be an early riser, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn just before sunrise, if weather permits. Read the weekly Sky Report for more details. If moon is observable, what phase is it in? Remember to never look directly at sun. Tue, 3-17-20 Activity: Same as above, but begin reviewing Glossary terms in Sky Report. Click on Schools tab in toolbar, then click on Teacher Resources, and finally click on Glossary. Try to learn 4 to 5 terms per night.
